‘Music is a universal language that embodies one of the highest forms of creativity’ (The National Curriculum).
At Holt Primary School, it is our intent that music is an inspiring and enjoyable learning experience for all. Our music curriculum aims to inspire curiosity, self-expression and a life-long love of music. We focus on developing the skills, knowledge and understanding that children need to become confident singers, performers, composers, and listeners. We encourage children to participate in a variety of musical experiences and performances to increase their self-confidence, sense of community, creativity and sense of achievement.
With the introduction of a new music specialist and the purchase of a new set of instruments (kindly funded by the HSA), our curriculum is currently under review.
